What's the difference between 4" (10cm) and 6" (15cm) mattresses?
General differences :
Our mattresses are made of polyurethane foam, which is a type of memory foam that hugs the body. Since children are generally quite lightweight, there is no considerable difference between both thicknesses, in terms of comfort.
Depending on your child's age, the difference might be in the longevity of the mattress. If your child is older, you might consider choosing a thicker mattress so that it stays as comfy for as long as possible.
When treated with care, Coco Village mattresses can last for about 8 to 10 years.
Thickness recommendations based on bed design :
- Floor beds (no rails) : Any thickness will do, but make sure your mattress isn't too high if your child is young and falls are still a risk.
- Main beds with rails : We recommend not going thicker than 6" (15cm).
- Trundle (pull-out) beds : We recommend not going thicker than 4" (10cm).
